The fish were nibbling
no sucking
no, I don't know - they were tickling her toes.
Feeding frenzy.
The terrible two came to investigate
They are fascinated by the fish
and the fish like to torment them
They swim about under their noses
But luckily they are not very good fishermen
I didn't think dogs would take much interest in fish - that's normally something we associate with cats.
ReplyDeleteI love fish ponds. So entertaining, and calming at the same time. We had a neighbor dog come stand in our pond every morning for a while. We had to put a stop to it because he was tipping over all the pots. I hope your dogs don't jump in for a swim!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't have said it better - entertaining and calming. I spend most Sunday afternoons sitting near the fishpond, my dogs make me laugh but the atmosphere is peaceful.
ReplyDeleteStrange, my cat totally ignores the pond. thank goodness 'cos I think she would be a better fisherman than my dogs.
The honest answer is that the Tarchonanthus is hip high after a few years. The fair answer is that I cut the leader because it was leaning over, and only now has it forgiven me. The truthful answer, the armlength shoots I photographed are this autumn's new growth, despite the lack of rain, with 10 litres of grey water on the 4 or 5 day summer cycle. As the US garden bloggers say - first year sleep, second year creep, third year leap!!
